Things Too Ugly utilizes experimental approaches to audio design to communicate the wild timbres of the Midwest. The in-game atmosphere is shaped by unconventional vocalizations and sound effects both invented and captured in the real world.  Samples range from manufactured clanking noises of household objects to backyard crows, frogs, and the wind.
